He Waits

The Lord is never pushy;
He doesn’t pound the door.
He doesn’t knock the louder;
He only waits some more.

He waits ‘til we are willing
to gladly let Him in.
But oh what joy it gives Him
to finally live within.

You never will regret it;
He’s gentle with your past.
And you will have a Friend
as long as life will last.

My friend, if you’ve been waiting
to listen to His call,
right now, please won’t you answer
and gladly give Him all.
